ABOUT SUSAN SCHULTZ

Susan began working on violins in 1988 in an apprenticeship with Tim Poling, violin maker, who studied at the Salt Lake City School of Violin Making. She worked with Mr. Poling in the Orchestral Department of Mitchell’s Music in both repairs and sales until she opened her own shop called “The Violin Shop” in 1996. She also attended workshops led by Hans Nebel (Luthier for some of the best violins in the world for nearly 50 years) at the University of New Hampshire’s Violin Craftsmanship Institute. Susan joined LAFARGUE’s in 2012, expanding instrument inventory, supplies, accessories and services.
