November 1-2-3: Let’s Play NOLA! Weekend

Lafargue_header

Let’s Play NOLA! is designed to inspire people to play music.  To do this, we are going to place pianos – that have been decorated by local artists – in various locations across town. Whether you’ve been playing at an expert level for years or can barely play “Chopsticks”, these pianos will be there for your enjoyment. In a city where music has been in the air since at least the 17th century, this may not seem so unusual.  Music is an integral part of life here in New Orleans, and by placing these colorful pianos in unexpected places, Let’s Play NOLA! invites you to pause, sit down, and play, to make a contribution to the city’s eternal aerial music.  Tell your friends and help spread the word.

WHEN:  FRIDAY, November 1st – SUNDAY, November 3rd

TIMES:  Daily from 9am – Sundown

LOCATIONS:
1.  Washington Artillery Park (on Decatur across from Jackson Square)
2.  Audubon Park (near the St. Charles Ave. entrance)
3.  Pinkberry on Magazine St. (corner Joseph St. across from Whole Foods)

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?   The Let’s Play NOLA! painted pianos are ON THE STREETS for your enjoyment.  Feel free to stop and play awhile.  Play = Fun.  We encourage all ages, all levels to stop being spectators and play!  BE THE MUSIC.
